The cellars beneath our wine shop date from the early 18th century. Louis Napoleon, later to become Emperor Napoleon III, held clandestine meetings here during his exile in the 1840s, plotting his return to France. The largest of our three cellars, our 19th-century Napoleon Cellar is perfect for stand-up receptions and tastings, as well as sit-down lunches and dinners. It combines the old with the new, with state-of-the-art audio-visual facilities discreetly presented next to historic original features.

Escaping the hustle and bustle of St James’s Street, and step down into our newest underground wine events venue, the Sussex Cellar. Elegantly spaced over two levels, the Sussex Cellar combines modern architectural innovation with the feel of our historic cellars. The space is named after the Duke of Sussex, one of seven Royal Dukes (sons of George III, brothers of George IV) who were regular customers of Berry Bros. & Rudd in the early 19th century. Of the seven Dukes, Augustus Frederick, the Duke of Sussex, was the closest to the Berry family, known to them as “Uncle Sus”.

Behind the shopfront filled with wide-screen-worthy tailoring, No.4 St James’s Street is home to our new event space, the Kingsman Room. After an apéritif surrounded by some of the most famous props from Kingsman: The Golden Circle, move through to dinner in our luxurious and discreet wood-panelled dining room, which backs onto Pickering Place, London’s smallest public square and once the site of more than its fair share of Kingsman-worthy antics (from dog-fighting to bare-knuckle boxing).
